Get Ready to LEAD

Get Ready to LEAD Is your introduction to public service. If you are new to the idea of running for office, or maybe just want to know where to start, this is the place for you. You’ll gain an understanding of the moment we are in and what kind of leadership we need to meet this moment, what factors to consider when deciding whether and when to run for office, how to tell your story, what it means to fundraise as a political candidate and how to start building your base. Participants leave equipped with the ability to assess their readiness to run, a to-do list of things to tackle before they put their names on the ballot, and a template for the conversation they need to have with themselves, their loved ones, and community members before they make the decision to run.

We have both virtual and in-person options for Get Ready to LEAD. We really recommend our in-person training- it’s much more interactive and experiential. However, we understand not everyone is able to travel to attend a training, and we’ve developed a strong virtual curriculum for you if you’re not.
